I just challenged myself to go a day using only a macro lens. Macro photography is interesting – you can capture amazing alternative views but I find it hard to take creative shots sometimes, there’s almost an expectation that you just shoot bugs and flowers. On this walk through Sturt Gorge I tried to use the features of a macro lens – very narrow depth of field and ability to capture fine, sharp texture detail, to my advantage. I also shot a few lizards.
